Stranded Copper or Aluminum conductors are first coated with Semi Conductor compound and then insulated by XLPE compound as per the requirements of the IS for various cored cables. This core is now coated again with semi conductor compound.
Copper tape now wraps to fully cover this semi conductor coated core. For three cores cable all these copper taped cores are then laid up tied up and polyester taped. These laid up cores are then inner sheathed with PVC ST2 compound. Armouring is then done by GI round wires or strip wires wound on this inner sheath.
These laid up cores duly inner sheathed and armoured are then inner sheathed with PVC/FR PVC/FRLS PVC or FRZH sheathing compound.
